About the Journal
The Turkish Journal of International Development (TUJID) is an academic peer-reviewed journal published twice a year. TUJID aims at promoting, developing and providing a deep understanding of International Development. Within this fundamental idea, we aim at publishing qualitative and quantitative works with the objective of providing a more scholarly and institutionalized approach to presenting alternative sustainable, and equitable perspectives within the field of international development studies.
The journal's objective is to disseminate pioneering works to the existing literature from a range of related disciplines, including Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Public Administration and Economics, among others.
The journal is open access and invites submissions from scholars and experts.
Publication Policies
- TUJID aims to advance the field of International Development by publishing scientifically rigorous studies with national and international relevance.
- TUJID follows a double-blind peer-review process and publishes two issues annually: June and December
- The journal publishes in English.
- Articles submitted for publication must be original academic works that use appropriate research methods for their respective fields. Book reviews that contribute to the scientific field are also welcomed.
- All submissions to TUJID are screened for plagiarism using the software, iThenticate and Turnitin. Any work found to contain plagiarism will be rejected without being sent for peer review.
- Papers must be unpublished and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Submissions are initially reviewed for adherence to the journal's formatting and submission guidelines. Articles that do not comply with these requirements will be returned to the author for revisions before being reviewed for content.
- After the preliminary examination, articles are sent to subject-matter experts for peer review. A publication decision is made after receiving two positive reviews. If both reviewers express negative opinions, the article will not be published. In case of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer will be consulted.
- If reviewers recommend that an article "can be published after corrections," the article will be returned to the author for revisions. After these corrections are made, the article will be re-evaluated to ensure the reviewers' feedback has been adequately addressed.
- The feedback from reviewers, including recommendations and critiques, is sent to the author with the reviewers' identities kept confidential.
- The authors bear full scientific and legal responsibility for the content of their published works.
- Only one paper per author will be published in each issue of TUJID.
- No royalties are paid to authors for articles published in TUJID.
- The publication rights for all accepted articles belong to the Afrika Foundation.
