Author Guidelines
Turkish Journal of International Development (TUJID) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, biannual academic journal that publishes articles only in English. In order to gain acceptance, all articles submitted to TUJID for evaluation must have never been previously published. The editorial board first reviews submissions. If an article satisfies the necessary conditions of style and content, reviewers will then proceed to evaluate its suitability for publication. All articles undergo evaluation by two anonymous reviewers. To ensure the academic quality and integrity of our research standards strict anonymity is ensured between the authors and reviewers. Only articles accepted by both reviewers are taken to the later stages of publication. In case the reviewers differ in their opinion about the publication of an article, if necessary, the article may be sent to a third reviewer for further assessment. The publication of an article then depends upon the approval of the majority of these reviewers. Authors are expected to provide the necessary corrections demanded by the editors or reviewers during the evaluation process of an article.
We insist on the following ethical and academic standards:
- All data presented in the manuscript must be real, authentic, and free from any form of plagiarism or fraudulent manipulation.
- Submitting the same work to more than one journal is strictly prohibited.
- Proper citations should be included in the bibliography, and the spelling rules for citations and references must be adhered to.
- The manuscript should not exceed a 20% similarity rate in comparison to existing publications.
- All academic work must comply with publishing ethics and maintain integrity throughout the research process.
- If any mistake is identified after publication, all authors are obliged to retract or correct the work.

Authorship
At the TUJID, authorship is reserved for individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, and drafting of the work, including translation. Those who substantially contributed to a paper are credited as authors, understand, and take on their roles and responsibilities, and are held accountable for published research.
All individuals who have contributed significantly should be clearly acknowledged as co-authors. It is crucial that all authors have actively contributed to the research process. The primary author must confirm that all co-authors are accurately listed, have seen the final draft of the manuscript, and have agreed to its submission for publication.
We require the corresponding author to be the individual responsible for handling the manuscript and all correspondence during the publication process. The corresponding author must have the authority to represent all co-authors and is responsible for obtaining consent from co-authors and keeping them informed about the manuscript’s progress. After publication, the corresponding author also serves as the main point of contact for any inquiries related to the paper.
Conflicts of Interest
At TUJID, we strive to ensure that all publications are free from undue influence. Authors submitting manuscripts, as well as editors and reviewers, are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could compromise the objectivity or integrity of the publication process.
Conflicts of interest refer to situations where personal, financial, professional, contractual, or other relationships may unduly affect or appear to affect the work. We expect all individuals involved in the publication process to declare any such conflicts.
If anyone suspects an undisclosed conflict of interest related to a work under consideration or already published in TUJID, they are encouraged to inform the editorial board or email to [email protected].
