Call for Papers for the first issue
Dear Colleagues,
The Turkish Journal of International Development (TUJID) will publish its inaugural issue with the objective of providing a more scholarly and institutionalized approach to presenting alternative sustainable, and equitable perspectives within the field of international development studies.
Focus of the Issue
Traditional development paradigms face growing scrutiny in an era of increasing global interdependence. There is an urgent need to critically analyze the impact of global governance structures, international aid mechanisms, economic policies, and cultural dynamics in shaping development trajectories. Moreover, sustainable and inclusive development remains a key challenge, particularly in underdeveloped and conflict-affected regions. This issue of TUJID aims to explore the evolving discourse on international development, challenging dominant narratives and highlighting localized, participatory, and culturally informed strategies.
We welcome manuscripts that critically engage with international development from diverse disciplinary perspectives, including but not limited to International Relations, Economics, Sociology, Public Administration, and Political Science. Submissions may focus on theoretical advancements, empirical case studies, comparative analyses, or policy discussions relevant to international development.
